We’ve traveled widely and stayed in hotels around the world over many years, and the welcome from Kostas and his lovely wife Maria is without any doubt the best we’ve ever had. They treat guests like family, and that’s exactly how we felt. The hotel is in the old port town of Agina, well placed for relaxing, good food, and lovely scenery. You really must visit Niko’s fish restaurant on the beach. Our room was comfortable, well appointed, and well maintained. Breakfast was adequate, the pool was very refreshing, and the hotel cat was lovely. Ten out of ten all round, and thank you, Kostas and Maria, for being perfect hosts. @Grandpa-Chris r all the way from London into a little bit of paradise. Room 126 , 27/09/25 -30/09/25. We hope you enjoyed the tea bags and sweets Maria.

The children loved the pool, and the place was so peaceful, which we really appreciated after our noisy flat in Athens. It was also unbelievably good value. The owner was welcoming, and everything was spotless and freshly painted. We had a wonderful family weekend here in the middle of a longer stay in Athens. We’d love to come back. Thank you very much!

The location is easy to reach, parking is well organized, and the owners are genuinely welcoming. The receptionist on the second shift was lovely too, and gave us lots of ideas for things to do and places to eat. The room itself wasn't very comfortable. Breakfast was the letdown. We had to say what we wanted, but even the jam came in plastic packages. With such good products available in Greece, it was disappointing to get supermarket quality honey and juice. There were a few local pastries, but most of the rest came from the supermarket. It would be nice to have better options from the village.

Agia Marina felt like the cosiest, most homely place we visited in the region, and Hotel Erato was a lovely base for our week there. The hotel was clean and near the sea. Bars and restaurants were only a couple of minutes away, yet far enough off that it stayed peaceful. The staff were cheerful each morning, and breakfast was lovely and filling. My partner and I also visited hydra, Agistri, and Agena town during the week. We had to leave a day early after getting our flight timing wrong, and were sad to miss one last relaxing day by the hotel pool. I'd happily stay at Hotel Erato again. 😊
