The beach view is lovely, and there’s a nice pool too. We liked the location and the apartment was very good, with nothing else to complain about. The staff and the cleaning lady were friendly and professional. We cooked for ourselves, but there was no chopping knife for vegetables, so I had to use a serrated one. Not convenient at all.

Katerina was so helpful before and during our stay, replying quickly to emails and WhatsApp and sorting out a late arrival since reception isn’t open around the clock. We also paid €25 to keep the room longer because our flight home was late. The room was simple but very clean, with a firm mattress, a small kitchenette and fridge, AC, hairdryer, hangers, shampoo, and a nice bathroom and shower. There’s parking on site if you rent a car, and the cleaners did a thorough job every day. Kalimera Hotel is right by the bus stop for Chania, with regular buses running until about 1am. A return ticket costs about €3, and depending on traffic the ride takes 10-35 minutes. Chania old town is around 9km away and has plenty to see and nice restaurants. Agia Marina also makes a good base for exploring the island, and the blue flag beach across from the hotel has clear water. We had a great stay in July 2022. The hotel was easy to find, and our taxi from the airport in the middle of the night cost about €40. On the way back, taking the bus to Chania and then to the airport was easy and cheap.

We’d happily come back. The hotel was in a lovely, clean spot, with supermarkets and the beach just a short walk away. Katharina was really kind and helpful, and a friend’s mother had recommended the place to us.

We stayed in a clean, fully equipped two-level suite with a fantastic sea view and really enjoyed it. The cleaning lady did a great job, changing everything daily. There are lots of taverns nearby, the beach is two minutes away, and the pool was always clean and warm.
