I’m still here, enjoying how quiet and cool it is. The place is about 400 meters uphill from Stalo beach, and my simple room is very clean and has a balcony. There’s parking, plus a large shared area with a kitchen equipped for cooking and a shaded patio under the trees. The price is really low. Most of all, Kiriaki and Nektarios made us feel like friends. I’ll keep coming back.

There’s no service beyond room cleaning, so breakfast and similar things aren’t included. There’s no swimming pool either, and expect to do some walking. They ought to rent out scooters.

The room was basic, but clean and pleasant, and the hosts were friendly. I had a lovely view over the olive hills and the sea, too. Very good value.

I’ve been back every year for four years now, and I love the place. Crete is lovely, and I especially like the Chania/Stalos area. It’s a 10-minute walk to the beach or to a bus into town. The rooms are very clean and have everything I need for a Greek vacation. The owners are some of the nicest people you could meet. I’m sure you’ll love it too!

The owner was really friendly and arranged a late-night check-in for us. There’s a shared kitchen, and the beach and restaurants are about a 15-minute walk away. We paid around 30 EUR in September for a decent room. It’s a little dated, but still good.
