Harbour View - Oceanis Apartments

The balcony was very spacious, with a view over the harbour, and it’s just a 5 minute walk to the main part of Poros. The apartment was quiet, and the housekeeper came in daily to empty the bins. She was friendly and helpful. Alexander was welcoming and available to drive us up the hill to the sister hotel pool. We also hired a reasonably priced car from the hotel. We stayed 5 nights in a basic but roomy studio, with a very comfortable bed. The decor looked a little tired and could use a refresh, especially in the bathroom and with the kitchen equipment.

The family who own Oceanis Apartments welcomed me warmly and made the place themselves, from the blueprints on. Their care made me feel at home, and they went out of their way to make the stay comfortable. The apartments are beautifully maintained and have all the amenities needed for a good vacation. It was also convenient to use the nearby Oceanis Hotel’s facilities, including its lovely pool and restaurant. The hotel’s airport transfer made arriving and leaving seamless, so I could focus on enjoying my trip. I had a stay at Oceanis Apartments in Poros Kefalonia that I won’t forget, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for a charming, welcoming stay in Kefalonia.

The port view was amazing, and we loved having separate rooms. Air con was free, and the balcony was a lovely spot to watch the sunrise. The apartments were average overall. Our main issue was the cleaning: towels were changed and beds made, but the rooms weren’t otherwise cleaned. The sheets were changed after 1 week. Sand and other mess on the floor stayed there, and after we broke a glass, we couldn’t pick it up because there was no brush. It was still there that evening. Aside from that, all good.

The sister hotel was good and had a pool, but this place needs a deep clean and some modernization. Towels were changed every day even when we hadn’t used them. There was no reception or service, and no rep to ask questions. The notice board by the phone needs updating. The room tax made the stay pricey, and smoking was a problem: people next door smoked constantly, one after another, and were loud while we were having breakfast outside. The place was dirty too, and there was a nail in the door handle.
