The view was the first disappointment. We had booked a side sea view, but after waiting for someone to arrive, we were given a room facing another hotel's concrete gable and balcony. There was no view of the Agia Marina seafront. When I pointed out that it wasn't the room we had booked, the woman just smiled and said there were two of us and two single beds. The kitchen was practically unusable. I chose self catering because of the pandemic, but despite the listing saying it had full kitchen accessories, there wasn't even a kettle. Boiling water for one coffee on the cooker took 45 minutes. They eventually supplied a kettle because the cooker didn't work. The place badly needs refurbishing: there was no chair in the room, the bathroom tap was so hard to grip that I had to turn it with one pointed finger, and there was nowhere to hang the shower head, so I had to hold it while showering. On our second last night, when it reached 40 degrees, the air conditioning stopped working. Someone came after midnight and changed the remote. The cleaning lady and that late repair are the only reasons I'm giving it one star. The photos on booking.com make the rooms look bigger than they are, and I've reported that. It was miserable having to come back here each day, and after my third trip to Aegina I was deeply disappointed.

The one thing we missed was a parking space, especially with the area being a bit crowded. Still, the value for money was 10 stars for us. Everything was clean, and the owner was very attentive, fixing things without us even having to mention them. Perfect service.

It was clean, and that earns the two stars. The place hasn't been refurbished, costs too much for what it offers, and has no view apart from the building in front.
