Phaedra Hotel

We had such a relaxing vacation here, it was a real gem. The beach right in front is beautiful, and there were always sunbeds available for guests. We ended up canceling most of our excursions so we could stay and enjoy this little paradise. The owner and the whole team were incredibly kind, always smiling and happy to help. We’ll definitely come back!

We spent about 10 days at Phaedra and felt right at home. The rooms are so comfortable, with every little detail thought through. Nikos, his family, Georgia, and the rest of the staff bring such a warm spirit to the place that you don’t want to leave. Guests returning year after year says a lot. I know I won’t go home again without visiting Phaedra. Thank you for all your help and for such a lovely time.

Nikos and the whole Phaedra team make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. He’s warm, relaxed, and helpful, and somehow makes every guest feel special. No wonder so many people return year after year. We fell in love with Phaedra on our first visit and have kept coming back. The spacious rooms are spotless, and Stalos works well for Chania and day trips around the island. There’s always a seat around the chlorine-free pool, where fabulous Georgia runs the pool bar. The family-friendly beach is just steps from the pool, with magnificent sunrises and sunsets. I’d give the hotel ten stars if I could. Truly magical!

We’d heard such good things from the reviews, but the location, cleanliness, and especially the staff still blew us away. The pool terrace leads straight onto a lovely sandy beach with free sunbeds, and the sea is just a few steps farther. The beautiful pool bar is looked after by the lovely Georgia, who serves drinks, cocktails, and food from morning until early evening, always smiling and enthusiastic. Our very clean room had daily maid service, air-conditioning, a fridge with freezer, a small kitchenette, a large bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the pool and sea. Nikos, the manager and owner, was fantastic, friendly, helpful, and clearly proud of the service his team provides. When he wasn’t around, the other Georgia was just as helpful. Nikos uses a taxi driver for airport transfers and other trips. He’s excellent and smartly dressed, with a Mercedes, so be sure to ask. Thanks to everyone at Phaedra Hotel for making our first trip to Crete so memorable. We’d love to return.
