Elotia Hotel

The buffet really impressed me, both for the choice and the quality, and the staff were always smiling and happy to help. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet, so they were great for relaxing. The hotel is right by the sea in a handy location. There’s a bus stop close by and supermarkets just a short walk away. It won me over straight away, with its mix of welcoming hospitality and a great spot.

We enjoyed the fresh, tasty Greek dishes served buffet-style, and there are several lovely beaches within a short walk. A bus stop right beside the hotel has direct service to Chania. Elotia is a small family-run hotel with a warm, welcoming feel. The owners are very kind and always ready to help, and we felt at home from the start. I’d recommend it to anyone after a peaceful, friendly place near the sea :)

Breakfast was the biggest letdown. The quality was poor and the food didn’t seem fresh. We saw staff spraying water on the bread and croissants, apparently to bake them again and make them look fresh, which was concerning. I stayed six nights with breakfast included. The room was acceptable for a three-star hotel, but the air conditioner was outdated and took a long time to cool the room. The bathroom was extremely small and made it difficult to shower properly. For the price, I don’t think the stay was worth it.

The food was nowhere near what other hotels in the same price range offer. The selection was very limited, and for this price both the choice and quality should be much better. The location, though, is perfect, and the rooms are spacious. The room toilet needs renovating. Also, the instructions for the safe are written on the box, but the hotel still charged 2eur/day to explain the same thing. Check the instructions before paying ☝️.
