Antonia and Archontissa (I hope I spelled that right!) at reception were the standouts. They gave great service and were always ready to help, so just ask if you’re missing something. Room service sometimes needed a reminder, but staff responded and sorted out the small issues promptly. We stayed for 12 days in one of the traditional, dated rooms. The stone walls and floors gave it an old-school charm and kept it cool, though there was A/C as well. It had the basics for preparing meals. The bath and shower leaked, but we’re used to that in this price range in Greece and were fine with the basics. We didn’t come to Crete to sit in the room, after all. We liked the balcony and the relaxed, private feel of the hotel. It’s a budget hotel in a fantastic spot, with beaches a couple of minutes away on foot, plenty of nice restaurants nearby, and a bus stop right outside for easy trips to Chania if you don’t have a car. Breakfast was basic but fine, with things like eggs, bacon, beans in sauce, cheese, muesli, and yoghurt. I didn’t spot any olive oil and thought it should have been readily available, though I didn’t ask. The fresh fruit bowl was popular and topped up every day. We recommend it for anyone looking for good value from a three-star stay. We hope to return :)

The staff were lively, attentive, and exceptionally friendly, which made our stay even better. Flamingo Hotel is lovely, comfortable, and charming. It’s in a fantastic location, around a 300-metre walk from the beach, with lots of great restaurants nearby. We had an amazing three nights and would definitely come back!

Even with a late flight, we could leave our bags at reception and still make use of the hotel pool, with towels provided free of charge. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay. We were four people in apartment number 308, and it worked perfectly for us. It was cozy and well equipped, with a small refrigerator and a stone stove for making simple meals. The hotel serves breakfast only, but there’s a charming tavern nearby for delicious local food. I highly recommend this hotel for the comfort, helpful staff, and convenient amenities. We had a wonderful time and would stay again!

The view, spacious balcony, and air conditioning that worked well were highlights. The room cleaning was a little inconsistent at times, and the breakfast choices didn’t vary much, but those things were minor for us. The beach, Sunset Beach, is about 200-300 meters away, with a mini market along the way. You can walk there in your swimsuit. We spent six days and seven nights at Flamingos Hotel as a couple. It’s not aimed at people looking for luxury or guests who are pretentious. The rooms have a vintage feel. We wanted exactly that, so we were completely happy with our room. I wholeheartedly recommend the hotel. The manager lady was very helpful with everything, and we had a wonderful time.

The location is really good, with a large free parking area nearby where we could leave our rental car, lovely Iguana beach, and a bus with a direct line to Chania old town. The first two days were horrible, but things are much better now. After the issue was taken care of, we were moved to a much nicer room. There was a small accident with my suitcase during the move, but the person who arranged it was highly professional, showed great customer care, and managed to make things right.
