Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort

Breakfast, the gorgeous pools, and expertly made cocktails made each day feel like a treat at Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort. The rooms are stylish, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with steam showers that make them a blissful retreat. Service was exceptional, and every detail was handled flawlessly. Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort has beautiful sea views from many parts of its hillside property, and I found the rates reasonable compared with other luxury resorts in Mykonos. My room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Housekeeping came twice a day and was consistently excellent. The modern bathroom had great shower pressure, quality towels, and good standard toiletries, though toothbrushes and shaving kits weren't included. The reception team were particularly friendly, professional, and helpful, and check-in and guest services were handled efficiently. Getting around the hotel was a challenge. It isn't especially wheelchair-friendly, with many rooms requiring changes between three elevators. The layout is complex and signage limited, so finding my room felt like solving a puzzle. The first few days, navigating the elevators, corridors, and different levels was unnecessarily confusing. There are over 35 steps down to the beach, though a sloped path is also available, and access may be difficult for guests with limited mobility. The private beach is attractive, the sea views are outstanding, and the outdoor pool is heated and well maintained. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. The dining area has lovely views, but the buffet's quality and variety fell short for a hotel in this category. There was little cheese to choose from, no olives, and service was often slow. The water for tea wasn't hot enough, leaving it weak, pale, and lacking flavor. The fresh orange juice was excellent, though. The resort has plenty going for it, especially the staff, rooms, housekeeping, and views, but better breakfast, clearer signs, and improved accessibility would make the stay much better.

The private beach was a peaceful, luxurious place to enjoy the water without crowds, and the nearby bus stop made the trip into Mykonos Town easy. It was a short walk away. For my birthday, I was generously given a complimentary room upgrade, which made my stay at the Grand Resort and Hotel especially memorable. The property had a breathtaking view of the Adriatic Sea. Thoughtful service, scenery, and a convenient location all made this a lovely visit. I'd happily return!

The rooms are beautiful, the setting is spectacular, and the service is friendly, attentive, and backed by great facilities. The food was very good, but for such a high-quality resort, I can't understand how they make cocktails that are all water and sugar. There's an occasional sign of age, like a slightly loose faucet or a patch of missing paint on a walkway panel, but this is still a luxurious, wonderful place to stay.
