Anthemis Hotel

The rooms are small, and the mattresses are the typical very thin kind you can get at a small village hotel, so that might take some getting used to. Once you adjust, though, it’s a great stay. Everything you need is there, the rooms are cleaned every day, and the cleanliness is on par with a five-star hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend it.

Niko, the owner, was always ready to help with whatever we needed. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the hotel is handy for both the beach and places to eat. A relative of mine came over from Australia and stayed in the same hotel too. We’ll definitely be back.

Nikos and Stamatis are genuinely lovely and helped us with anything we needed. The price is very good, though I’d gladly pay a little more for a room that’s been renovated. The fridge in our second room didn’t work, and the shower cubicle in the first bathroom was so cramped I kept struggling not to hit its corner. Still good value.

Hotel Anthemis is family run, right in the heart of Therma. The staff are always smiling and happy to sort things out, including arranging a rental car or a taxi to the airport. Rooms have the basics, plus a mini fridge and safe. The rooms and shared spaces are cleaned regularly, and fresh towels and linens come every other day. In winter, hot water can be unreliable because it comes from solar heaters, so late night or early morning showers may be cold. Breakfast is only available in summer. You can sometimes hear noise between rooms, especially from the bathrooms, more than you’d expect, but it wasn’t a deal breaker.
