Assa Maris Beach Hotel

The beach was the highlight for me: wide, sandy, beautiful, with big umbrellas and luxurious loungers. The water is crystal clear and lovely to swim in. The restaurant has a huge terrace, so you can eat with the sea practically right there. I was very happy with everything, and this exceeded my expectations. We’re definitely coming back. It’s been our most relaxing vacation so far.

Everything around the property was extremely well kept, and the rooms were clean and maintained nicely. The beach loungers were very comfortable, with no extra charge. It’s in a great spot near Pyrgadikia village, with friendly staff, an affordable beach bar with good choices, and a restaurant with options for adults and kids.

The beach was beautiful, and the sun beds and umbrellas were free. Our room had been renovated, but it was tiny and dark, almost like a cave. The food tasted good, but there was never any fruit, which is a shame given how well known Greeks are for their variety of fruit. The pool water was dirty. Reception didn’t answer phone calls or emails.

The sea was phenomenal: clear, calm, wonderful in every way. The rooms were clean, the local food was lovely, and the staff were friendly and energetic, though there weren’t enough of them. The pool wasn’t usable during our visit because maintenance was poor and algae was visible. It’s a real pity nobody seemed responsible for cleaning the beach. There were rocks, sticks, and rubbish everywhere. A real letdown.
