Cameo Beach Resort

The restaurant staff deserve real praise. They were professional, attentive, and always smiling, and the food was fresh, tasty, and varied each day. Reception also had a couple of kind, helpful young women who spoke English well. The hotel sits just across the road from a clean sandy beach that’s good for children, with no rocks or seaweed, and we never had trouble finding sunbeds. Our beds and linens were clean and very comfortable, and the atmosphere felt cozy. Small shops and bars nearby had reasonable prices. For excursions, though, I wouldn’t use the little booth right beside the hotel. The service there was confusing and unprofessional. A few metres farther along, a larger office had professional staff, more choices, and fair prices, so I’d recommend that one. Housekeeping was a real letdown. The rooms got only a superficial clean, towels weren’t always fresh, and the staff didn’t speak English, making it impossible to communicate. There were room problems too: a broken door, leaking AC, a loose socket, old bathroom fittings, and a rusty shower. These were dealt with only after many reminders, and some never got fixed. The bathroom also had a noticeable damp smell. Some balconies look onto another room or a roof, which may matter to some guests. Toiletries were available only if we asked at reception and weren’t replenished daily. The pool surface looked worn and could do with renovation. The beach and restaurant staff helped make the stay enjoyable, but management needs to improve the cleaning and room maintenance.

The room was nice and cleaned really well, and the desserts were top notch. The hotel is right by the sea, with delicious food and service I’d give 10 stars. The guys in the restaurant were cheerful and helpful, checking how we were and offering advice. The girl in the restaurant is a miracle, with beautiful blue eyes.

The "sandy" beach wasn’t as presented, and there weren’t any sun loungers. The poor cleanliness and low-quality all-inclusive offer also fell short of what I expected from a 4* hotel. From arrival onward, things came as a negative surprise, and the staff didn’t seem very professional. I had a much better experience at another 4* hotel. I don’t recommend Cameo Beach Resort Hotel.

We had a pleasant stay as a couple on an all-inclusive package, with very friendly, welcoming staff and a clean hotel throughout. The food was average, but acceptable. What really stood out was the setting: the pool looks out over the sea, with stunning views of Marathonisi (Turtle Island) and charming Cameo Island. The location is amazing.
