Kokkinos Villas

We loved the quiet setting, lovely balcony, and stunning views. The beach was only steps away, and the caldera, or volcano, was clearly visible. Breakfast was delicious, the hospitality was superb, and the cute pool was great for sunbathing, though it was highly chlorinated. A few things could have made the stay easier: a blind in one room to keep out the early morning light, plus washing-up liquid and a drying towel. Cats are everywhere, so keep that in mind if you're allergic. The rooms with private pools are overlooked, so there's little privacy, although the pools themselves looked lovely. I'd recommend hiring a car to explore the island, especially for trips to Fira or Oia. Thanks for having us!

Breakfast was fresh and delicious, though the paper ordering system took a little getting used to. After that, everything was perfect. We had a clean room, comfortable beds, and very friendly staff who made the service straightforward. We had a fantastic time at Kokkinos Villas. Our room's private whirlpool was amazing, with direct caldera views.

Akrotiri was so peaceful, and the staff were incredibly kind. The owner deserves special thanks: they gave us the room upgrade we asked for and even drove us to a beach when it was really windy. Thank you! I stayed here at the end of June, and this was one of the best places I've been to, maybe the best. Our first room was already spacious and had a wonderful view. Halfway through our stay we moved to an upgraded room with a private pool, and the view made it even more special. I loved it all and would definitely come back for another peaceful escape.

We had a great three-night stay. The hot tub was still lovely, though I wish it had been warmer on those chilly evenings. And please look after the cat if you visit!
