Akrotiri made a great base for our island holiday. We could walk down the hill to a beach, and several restaurants, a market, and other beaches were only a short drive away. Inside Our Villa, the fridge had cheese, meat, eggs, yogurt, milk, juice, and wine, with oats, cereal, coffee, and honey in the kitchen. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. It was peaceful here, with birdsong and picturesque caldera views, away from the busy hotels around Fira, Imerovigli, and Oia. Since you can drive across Santorini in under an hour, this was an easy place to settle in and enjoy the island.

The sunset here was better than anywhere else we saw, and we spent hours unwinding by the pool. This was the first stop on our 17-day trip, just right for relaxing after a long journey. We loved the recommendation to try The Good Heart Restaurant down the road. We had such a good stay and are sure we'll come back.
