Tropical Hotel

The food was good, the staff were friendly, and the place is right on the beach. My only gripe is that the kitchen and bar don’t open until 8, so getting coffee can be hard if you’re up early. That seems to be the case for most places around here. There’s a small fridge in the room, but a little kettle would have been great so I could make instant coffee from the shop.

Tropical Hotel Restaurant made my time in Crete memorable. The food and service were top quality from the moment I sat down. The staff were welcoming and seemed genuinely focused on making sure each customer was happy. I’ll come back to Tropical next time I’m in Crete, and I’ll recommend it to my friends and family.

We haven’t stayed at the hotel, so I can’t comment on the rooms or hotel services. We did visit the taverna, though, and can definitely recommend it. The beachside restaurant and bar has a phenomenal view across the gulf of Heraklion. The staff were warm, funny, kind, and helpful. There’s a good choice of grilled dishes and seafood, plus interesting appetizers in the classic Greek style. For the quality of the food and service, the prices are great value.

We spent 11 nights here with my wife and had a great holiday. The hotel is right next to the beach, about 12 minutes from the airport, and the owner was friendly. Our room was big, clean, and nice. The restaurant at the entrance is the best in the area, in my opinion. The portions are generous, the food is delicious, prices are low, cocktails are fantastic, and the staff are very friendly. We’d definitely recommend the hotel and plan to return. Our holiday couldn’t have been better.
