Ypseli Anafi's Hive

Sophia was a wonderful host. We loved chatting with her about our days, and the thoughtful welcome and detailed island recommendations made us feel cared for. Even the ferry alerts helped make everything effortless. The whole place has that low-key luxury we look for when travelling. Our room was laid out well, with enough storage for suitcases and laundry to keep it from looking messy, and the bed was super comfortable. It was silent at night too. The bathroom could have had more space around the sink for toiletries. Breakfasts were excellent, and the bar was very well stocked. The negronis and mescal margaritas were delicious. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

Ypseli feels just right in every way. It may not be as “luxury” as some other hotels I’ve tried, but it suits Anafi’s mood, Greece, me and my partner, and anyone lucky enough to get a room there. Sofia, Katerina, Chris and Calia make each stay special. They’re the best staff ever. Sorry if I’ve misspelled any of your names. No surprise that we return year after year as the same guests. Why change?

The mornings were especially lovely, with delicious breakfast and personal tips from the welcoming staff. Ypseli in Anafi felt like stepping into a dream, peaceful, intimate, and completely serene. A real gem if you’re looking to relax.

I travel full time, and the service, accommodation, and food at Ypseli were the best of the best. The people and all the little parts that make up the place really get into your heart. Ypseli and Anafi are not to be missed. I couldn’t help extending my stay, then extending it again. If you get the chance, go.
