Asteria Apartments

We had a lovely time here with friends and would happily return. Asteria Apartments are just a few steps from the beach, and the place has a nice Greek feel. Everything inside was clean, roomy, and equipped for either a short visit or a longer holiday. The owners were especially helpful and friendly, and replied quickly whenever we had a question or needed something. I'd recommend it for a peaceful seaside break and warm Greek hospitality.

The apartment is generally in good shape and the location is handy, close to the beach. It was fine for sleeping, though the listing and photos didn't match what we found. There was no terrace or balcony, only a small table and two chairs on the steps, and they weren't the steps shown in the pictures. Instead of a garden view, we looked onto a neglected neighboring property. The bathroom drain was blocked and the tap water wasn't very warm. Every few hours, some kind of smart switch cut the apartment's electricity, and we had to open the front door to turn it back on. The apartment hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests when we arrived. That may have been a one-off mistake, and the problem was sorted as quickly as possible, which we appreciated. They left beer and wine in the fridge to make up for the inconvenience. When we raised the view and asked about a partial refund, the owner's response was that we were still cheap, they should have charged more, nobody had asked about the terrace in four years, and they could cancel if we didn't want it. In the end, it wasn't a disaster, but the mismatch with the listing was disappointing.

I'm glad I didn't book this place. The location is awful, and the pictures give a misleading impression.

Marysia's apartment had all the basics we needed, from plates and cups to pots and cutlery. We were there with our 1.5-year-old and had a great time. The town has restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops, and it's close to the airport. A restaurant overlooking the sea, with a big playground, is only 3-4 minutes away. There’s also a bus stop nearby, and the seaside promenade is lovely for pushing a stroller or going on a long walk. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
