Koukoumi Vegan Boutique Hotel

We had the greatest time at Koukoumi. Being 100% vegan down to the smallest detail is a bonus, and vegans and non-vegans alike will love it. The staff made us feel cared for, the food was more than amazing, and there's a cute cat you can cuddle if he lets you. The rooms are top notch, clean, modern, and spacious, but still homey thanks to all the indirect lighting. The pool is great too, with magnesium instead of chlorine. There's a well-equipped gym and yoga sessions to help keep you fit during your stay. Rooms are cleaned daily, as are the pool, outdoor areas, and pretty much everything else. The whole place looks lovely and is super clean. Whenever we had a problem or request, the staff never said no and did everything they could to help. There isn't much we didn't like, but a few things are worth knowing. The food is world class and comes at a price, so simpler, cheaper lunch options would have been nice. The five-star hotel is deserved, but it's not cheap. When fully booked, it can be hard to find a good spot by the pool. The hotel is on a rather busy street, so traffic can be noisy. Wardrobe options are limited, and a few more shelves or drawers would help. Half the rooms have been newly built, so a few small adjustments are still needed, like a slightly loose shower head, doors that close a bit heavily, and no phone in the room yet. None of those were major issues. Even with those points, it was worth the money and we'll definitely visit again. Try Sky‘s homemade Kombucha at the bar, it's the best kombucha we've ever had. The reception team made it easy to arrange a rental car, a Delos tour, and other activities, and we found the spa lovely, the gym well equipped, and our room consistently spotless. My wife and I were here for our honeymoon, and as vegans we could enjoy the holiday without constantly searching for food. The hotel is modern, beautiful, and carefully designed, with staff who were kind, attentive, and professional. Meals were the real standout: creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We still remember the vegan souvlaki, and the 9-course degustation menu gave Greek and Mykonian food traditions an inventive plant-based spin. Breakfast could use more protein-rich choices, and dinner service between courses got slow on busy nights. Those were small issues alongside a stay that exceeded our expectations. Koukoumi has a distinctive vision for a luxury, fully vegan, sustainable five-star hotel. We left with lovely memories and would recommend it to vegans and non-vegans.

The food was so good, and we enjoyed every moment of the holiday. Alex's handpan playing was beautiful, and we were even able to do some spontaneous aerial hoop activity. The yoga classes were excellent for different levels: Alex's Yin sessions were wonderfully relaxing, while Aris' Ashtanga and other classes were enjoyable for me as a yoga teacher, challenging without being too much. Our room was comfortable and clean, with Klima and our own whirlpool. Having the pool and restaurant right by the door was especially handy with my 9-month-old babygirl. The fitness studio was the best planned I've seen, with everything for functional training: barbell, dumbbell, rack, soft boxes for box jumps, kettlebells, sandsack, rower, and more. The accommodation was breathtaking, and everyone was so warm and friendly from the welcome onward.

The cooking class with Olga was a highlight, and the waiters paid close attention to our allergies. We tried most of the menu and loved all of it. Angel and Ilias' creativity in the kitchen really blew us away. Reception also gave us very helpful suggestions for places to visit. We came for our honeymoon in Sep 2025, and even had a gift waiting in our gorgeous room when we checked in. Georgia, the owner, was often around chatting with guests. She was friendly and helpful, and clearly had a good relationship with her staff. We couldn't fault the stay and would recommend Koukoumi without hesitation. Already looking forward to coming back.
