Aigli Resort & Spa

The rooms are incredible, and the views, local town and staff live up to them. It’s a stunning hotel in a stunning setting. I’d strongly recommend taking this less-traveled route for a different kind of Greece experience.

The family running this hotel made us feel incredibly welcome and were so helpful, as was the staff who help them. Anna deserves a special mention. The rooms are really comfortable and have lovely views, though watch your head if you’re in a loft. I missed the popular snowy season, but I can see why people visit then. If I’m back in the country, I’d make a point of visiting again. And don’t forget to say hi to Mercedes! Edit: Corrected the spelling for Anna.

Aigli feels like a small version of Arachova, with traditional mountain architecture, tile roofs and stone arches. Paths and steps wind between the separate rooms, some set apart from the main building, while the interiors keep things warm and residential. Large windows and balconies make the most of the setting at the foot of Mount Parnassus, with views stretching toward Delphi. We had an amazing stay and slept so well. Vangelis puts his heart into making guests feel cherished, with thoughtful touches from the welcome onward. The hotel has a luxurious spa and a pristine pool, and the atmosphere is warm and elegant. It’s a beautiful place where the setting and hospitality come together. We can’t wait to travel from Korinthos to Aigli again.

We came in May, during a quiet part of the season in Arachova, and one of the owners helped us get around when it was hard to find a taxi. The staff were generous and helpful, which made an already beautiful place even better. It was also fun to learn that the owners are a family of renowned Greek champion skiers. Their awards and Olympic torches are displayed in the lobby.
