The staff and workers were really nice, thank you, and the view was great. The location is hard to get up to, and the beach is 700 m away. The hotel seems to treat all its customers as Polish. The family room was very small, more like one big room separated off, and lots of things need fixing. There was rubbish everywhere around the hotel, as you can see in the photos. The wasps were the biggest problem. You couldn’t relax or lie in the sun near the pool, and trying to get a drink meant fighting them. One even touched me another day. With free drinks, people leave plastic cups everywhere, including in the pool. It’s a budget hotel, but I didn’t feel comfortable or relaxed on holiday. The food was the same menu every day, tasteless, and sometimes there was a bad smell. Think twice before choosing captains Hotel.

This is a 3-star hotel, and for that standard the location, price, and distance of 4 km from the airport make it a good option. We’d give it 4/5. There are three decent swimming pools, a small car park out front and a bigger one behind, though there was usually space in front. It’s a quiet area on a small hill with a beautiful sea view, though some rooms have a bad outlook. You can’t hear the discos, pubs, or nightlife. The hotel is well suited to families, with evening activities for children every day. Staff were extremely kind and helpful. Our room was small but clean and tidy. It was cleaned daily, with towels changed every three days. The walls are thin, so we heard other guests slamming doors. Ninety percent of the guests were Polish, and sometimes the mini discos played Polish music we didn’t like. Food was so-so. Breakfast was the same every day, without fresh local ingredients; most of it lacked taste, even the tomatoes, which should be sweet. Dinner and supper were better, but still not like local restaurants and also lacked local products. The juices weren’t fresh and tasted artificial, though the sparkling water was great. The alcoholic drinks were as strong as you like, but the wine was really poor.

The only good thing was the restaurant view over the city and sea. The hotel doesn’t deserve even one star, though a review requires one. It was beyond criticism, dirty and neglected, worse than a nursing home. The food was the same and tasteless every day. The pool was dirty, full of plastic cups, and smelled strongly of chlorine. Even the evening show wasn’t good. Bring repair supplies if you stay here. The terrace door was coming off its hinges, the fridge had broken legs, the toilet was broken, and the shower hose leaked. Water ran from the shower into the room, so we had to put a towel by the door to stop our sleeping room flooding. The mattress was stained. During nine days and eight nights, our towels and sheets were changed once. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place is basically little Warsaw. I didn’t expect Polish food on a Greek island, and while most of it was alright, 50-60% wasn’t for me. The rooms need updating and didn’t match what was described on the website. The one thing I’ll praise is the staff, especially Tamara and Pavlos, who were very friendly and deserve a pay rise. You can use facilities at nearby hotels, which was the only other plus. It’s a cheaper alternative if you’re saving money, but not a good choice if you have mobility problems because it’s at the top of a hill.

The food was amazing, with a wide choice that should suit vegetarians, meat eaters, and kids. The views from the dining terraces and pool area were fantastic. The hotel is affordable, in a calm part of Argasi, and close to anywhere. The rooms are so-so and need renovation, though that didn’t bother me much since I only slept there and the area around is so beautiful. There’s no lifeguard. My only other complaint is the awful drinks from the machine, which are the only option, so you’ll need to buy water and juice from a market. I’d go back!
