Zakantha Beach

Thanks so much, Zakantha beach. The staff were very friendly, and the place was clean, quiet and felt safe. Nice garden, rooms with balconies, and just 20m from the sea. Highly recommend!

The staff are super friendly, and we never went hungry, though breakfast was just okay and could be improved. The coffee was awful, so we went out for it instead. The rooms are clean but outdated. Still, you’re there for Zakhintos, not to sit in your room all day, so we got over that. The location is absolutely perfect, close to Argassi’s strip with its own sandy beach and shallow water. We’ll definitely go back.

The location is great, and the staff are friendly and efficient. But the place looks tired, like it hasn’t had much money spent on it in a long time. There’s no coffee or tea making facility in the room. The hot water was lukewarm at best in the morning and late at night. That might be okay in high season when it’s hot, but in May it’s not. Air con costs extra, though I didn’t need it. Beach sunbeds cost €12 per pair per day. At a stretch, I’d call this a 3-star hotel, not a 4-star one. The €10 per night room tax would be acceptable if it were a 4-star place, but it isn’t.

The beds were a little uncomfortable to sleep in, and upgrading the beds and shower would do the hotel a lot of good. Otherwise, the hotel itself was great. Breakfast was okay, basic eggs, bacon, bread and so on. The staff were very kind and friendly, cleaners came every day, and the beach was nice. The snackbar drinks and food were very, very good. Sunbeds on the beach cost €12 for two.
