Tourist

I was really disappointed with this hotel. The room is tiny, and the shower cubicle is so cramped that it's uncomfortable. Service was poor too. They wouldn't help with luggage despite the stairs, and there was no flexibility when I asked for a late checkout. After I left, the hotel canceled my reservation just to get my review removed from the platform. I find that very dishonest toward future guests. I don't recommend it, especially for the price and the lack of professionalism in the service.

What really stood out was the location: right by the water in the middle of town, with turtles swimming past. The staff were warm and helpful, and we appreciated the beach towels and freshly made coffee at breakfast. The room was a letdown. Its furniture was worn, the paint was chipped, and the door closer was partly broken. None of that showed in the online photos, and with the hotel's high rating, I expected better. Breakfast had plenty of options on display, but most tasted bland, which was disappointing given how flavorful Greek food can be.

Stopped in for lunch and a drink while walking by. The staff were friendly, the food was nice, and prices were reasonable. A couple of dishes came out a bit cold, and they forgot the toast with my full English, so 4 stars.

Back in Argostoli for another two weeks, and once again had a lovely time with the staff at Tourist Hotel. Andy and Martyn. Keep smiling 😃
