Arillas Dream Studios

The rooms are clean and comfortable, with plenty of storage and enough space for two people. I appreciated the water left in the fridge, the complimentary shower gels, and not having to pay extra to use the air conditioning or safe. The cleaner does a great job. The amenities are good, and the location gets an average score from me. The check-in, though, was a 0/5, and it's why I rated Arillas Dream Studios 2/5 overall. I arrived in Arillas at about 23:25 and found the Studios, but there was no reception and no sign telling me which room was mine. I checked my booking and called the number listed online. I told the man I was there, booked until the following week, and needed a key or directions to my room. He told me to call again tomorrow, then hung up. The website said they used WhatsApp, so I tried downloading it despite the poor network, which took even more time. Luckily, a local taverna owner recognized me from previous visits and offered to call the owners to find out why nobody was there to meet me. I was travelling alone and had arrived late because of my flight, hoping to sleep after a long day. Instead, I was told to call the next day with no care for my situation. A man eventually showed up about 30 minutes later, after I'd worked out which room I was supposed to be in. There wasn't even an apology. I did enjoy the stay, but the stress at the start spoiled the beginning of my holiday. I can't say I'd be back anytime soon, and based on my experience I wouldn't recommend it to solo travellers.
