Cavos Bay Hotel and Studios

There are plenty of places to lounge around the pools, though the water was soooo salty. The bar has an amazing vista and reasonable prices, and there’s a great pottery studio next door if you want an activity. It’s also a short walk to restaurants nearby, which makes this a great base in Ikaria. The staff were kind and the hotel was lovely. The breakfast could use a refresh and some improvement. Maybe I felt that way because the bakery has so far provided AMAZING, freshly prepared Ikarian options!

We’re coming back to Cavos Bay for the third time next summer. The lower deck by the sea is incredibly quiet and beautiful, and the pool was great. From the rocks you can hear the waves all day and night, and the sunsets are lovely. I’d recommend a sea view room for the full experience. Our room was spacious, with a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed the classic Greek breakfast, and the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Marina and Dimitri. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Cavos Bay gave me a memory I’ll cherish, and I already ache to return. I stayed six days and left feeling completely rejuvenated. The service felt thoughtful, genuine and heartfelt, unlike anything I’ve experienced elsewhere. A heartfelt thank you to the kind ladies at the front desk and the gracious owner, Demetrius, for making me feel so cared for. My spacious, spotless room was peaceful, with a comfortable bed and air conditioning that kept it perfectly cool. Each morning there was a delicious breakfast on a breezy terrace overlooking the water, with views worthy of Instagram. The hotel also has two beautiful pools with open views across the Aegean Sea, and magical sunsets from the property. Right in the heart of Armenistis, it’s moments from seaside cafés, restaurants and shops, and just two minutes from a beautiful beach. You can walk to everything, but the nights are peaceful and quiet, so it’s easy to rest well and wake refreshed. The staff welcomed me with kindness, professionalism and care from the moment I arrived. I felt seen, looked after and completely rejuvenated. I can’t recommend Cavos Bay enough, and I’ll be telling everyone I know to stay here.

The views are great, there are lots of relaxing lounge chairs, and the service was outstanding. It's within walking distance of nearby beaches, the restaurants in Armenistis, and a mini market for water or snacks. Cleanliness could have been better. There was a lot of hair in our room that wasn't ours, and I didn't feel comfortable walking around without shoes. The air conditioning also stopped working around noon each day, then took a while to come back on after we reported it. Since it happened at almost the same time every day, it started to feel normal. They did respond when we told them, and after the third time offered to move us to an upgraded room with autonomous AC. We appreciated that, since our original room was on the larger building's system.
