Hotel Athina

We never checked in or stayed at the hotel, but still had to pay the full amount. We were dealing with a difficult family situation and a lot going on, and no booking or payment confirmation ever came by email. By the time we found out, the money had already reached the hotel. We offered to pay for the nights that had passed and hoped to find a fair arrangement, but the hotel wouldn't show any flexibility. In August, during high season and the Free Earth Festival, we felt the rooms could have been rebooked. We had hoped for more understanding and humanity from a people-focused business. Sadly, we didn't get that, which made an already upsetting experience even more disappointing.

Everything was great, from the clean rooms to the tasty food, and it's close to the beach. We'll come back.

The Wi-Fi didn't work, and the beds and pillows were extremely hard. During our five nights, the rooms weren't cleaned at all and the towels weren't changed. The bathroom was far too small, especially the shower, and there was no hot water in the mornings.

We and the kids were delighted with our stay. The rooms were tidy and clean, the service was good, and free parking was provided. A great choice for families with children. Highly praised.
