Boutique Hotel Del Doge

We really liked this quirky room, and the location was great. The staff were all friendly, and breakfast downstairs was nice, though it cost extra. At night it was lovely to sit outside in front with a drink and watch people go by. Our first room had the main bed on a mezzanine, but the stairs didn't work for my old arthritic knees, so they let us switch rooms. The one drawback wasn't the hotel's fault: most nights, a bar across the alley was noisy until the early hours, and we had to shut the windows and shutters to sleep. The open windows and shutters were nice for the atmosphere otherwise. Would highly recommend.

The rooms were spacious, visibly clean, and decorated just like the pictures. I was impressed with the atmosphere, and the location worked perfectly for a holiday. Our ground floor room faced the traditional alleys behind the harbor, so there was some noise, but the lively feel didn't really bother us. The staff were helpful and we had a lovely stay. Used Booking, FYI.

A lovely little place, with really polite, accommodating people and a clean room. Even with rooms right next to ours and a party going on below the window, it was genuinely quiet for sleeping. We liked the pub downstairs for a nightcap. Head up to the rooftop for coffee or people-watching in the evening. The breeze from the gulf and the atmosphere up there were a welcome break after a day in Old Town.

Room 2 was on the ground floor, with windows facing an alley. It was nicely decorated and had a comfortable bed, and Dina and the rest of the staff were kind and helpful. The location was great value. There was a nearby restaurant with live music late into the evening. It wasn't too loud, and since we knew about it from other reviews, it wasn't an issue for us. Great room and location!
