360 Degrees Pop Art Hotel

The place you actually book is cramped, with cigarette smoke lingering around reception and no real view, just an empty building across the way. The website, though, shows the sister property called 360 degrees hotel, with Acropolis views and a spot on the famous square. That feels like a bait and switch, and a scam.

George at reception deserves a shout out. He was helpful and shared some good recommendations. The hotel was very clean and in a great spot close to all the attractions.

Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of choice, good quality, warm and efficient staff, and that fantastic Acropolis view. The full English breakfast was a great start to the day, and I loved relaxing in front of the TV afterward. My suite was £200 a night and had a balcony, a nice bathroom, and a roomy sitting area, so the value felt astonishing for such a generous space in central Athens. Inside, the room felt fresh and inviting, with a vibrant pop art look, a king-size bed, and crisp Egyptian cotton sheets. The hotel is right in the middle of the city, with sights and everyday bustle just steps away. Outside the entrance was a jarring contrast: it felt a bit like student accommodation, and there were homeless people and drug addicts on the pavement. Once inside, though, the comfort, design, breakfast, caring staff, and location made the 360 Hotel a sublime stay. I struggled to find a flaw with the hotel itself. If you're coming to Athens, I'd book it again.

The only small issue was the shower's very low water pressure. Otherwise, the staff were kind and easy to approach, and when we left early for checkout they packed us a takeaway breakfast, a lovely final touch. Breakfast was included and came with Acropolis views. The hotel is right in the heart of Athens, with everything within walking distance.
