Achillion Apartment

I found bed bugs in my room at 4 a.m. and went straight to the front desk. The overnight employee was dismissive and rude, said there were no other rooms, and offered no help or apology. At 9 a.m., a different employee told me bed bugs were “impossible.” Once I showed him photos, he admitted, “Yeah, we have bed bugs,” with no urgency or concern. The lack of professionalism was as disturbing as the infestation. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. My September 2025 stay was unacceptable in terms of sanitation and service. I provided proof to staff.

The cereal dispensers were peak, and the food was delicious. The rooms were pretty nice, reasonably clean apart from the 3 bed buge my friend spotted, and stocked with plenty of supplies. When we got locked out, the staff helped us back in. I was on a school trip with my friend Unpredictable. One of my other friends made eye contact with a junkie and apparently they fell into hate at first sight. My friends were almost attacked, but they're okay and alive. A lovely hotel in concept, and a decent experience overall. My friends disagree, but honesty is policy. You could do much better. Anything worse would be unlivable, anything better top tier. The staff were helpful, especially Thanos at reception. He set us up with fans when the air-conditioning wasn't working and suggested local cafes and restaurants, including menu ideas. Breakfast had a big selection and tasted good. The location is central and convenient, and the rooms are spacious.

The food was the only part of our stay that was even slightly acceptable. On our second night, at 2 AM, a fridge in one of our tour participants' rooms exploded. It seemed ancient and badly maintained, and we could smell freon or some kind of gas two floors below. It was terrifying and could have ended much worse. My mother was bitten by bedbugs in our room. The bites were severe enough to keep her from sleeping for nights and caused allergic reactions. When we reported them, the receptionist said they looked like mosquito bites, but it quickly became clear they weren't. The whole hotel smelled of stale cigarette smoke, including non-smoking areas. The place felt as if it hadn't been properly cleaned or maintained in years, and the mattress was stained with urine or other questionable substances. The location also felt terrible and unsafe to us. Just outside were homeless people and drug users hanging around on the sidewalks, and we felt genuinely unsafe, especially at night. Achillion Hotel ruined our holiday. I'd never have stayed if we'd known what the area was like. Spend more and find somewhere cleaner and safer.
