We loved looking out from our spacious superior double room and seeing the Acropolis. The view is magical. The Arcade hotel is also perfectly placed, close to everything we wanted to see, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Bottled water in the room and breakfast in the morning were nice extras.

The central location worked well for our business trip, and the hotel was just right for our work stay. The reception and breakfast staff were especially helpful. During a general strike they arranged emergency transport to the airport, and I also saw them patiently help a lost tourist find his tour group. He got back to them in the end.

Marilena was a real gem during our stay. A taxi strike meant our pre-booked transfer was canceled, but in under 24 hours she arranged a ride to the hotel and helped book our return transfer too. She went out of her way to make sure we were looked after. The Arcade is lucky to have her.

We picked Arcade Hotel Athens for the last few days of our time in Athens and Greece because it's right in the center. With our metro passes gone, being able to walk to the major sights nearby made those final days easier. Our room also looked toward the Acropolis. Part of the view is blocked, as it is from some rooftop bars in Athens, but we could enjoy it privately and chat comfortably in our room. We had a suite with a balcony and a view of the Acropolis, tucked away down a side alley. The room was spacious and the restroom was very well appointed. Sitting outside on cool mornings with espresso and watching the world wake up was a treat. Breakfast came with the stay and was top notch, so don't skip it.
