Areos Hotel

I’m in Athens while my husband is in hospital after an accident and major surgery, and the kindness at The Areos has made a lonely, bleak time feel less so. A huge thank you to the manager, who stepped in late at night after my insurer hadn’t arranged the room earlier. Everyone has been friendly and helpful, and the lady who cleans my room is lovely. The room is spacious enough, with a spotless bathroom and shower. There’s an espresso machine, and they even brought me a kettle when I said I liked tea, though I haven’t found any small enough tea packets yet. The reception and lounge are comfortable, and the vending machine has water and a chocolate bar for when you need one. I’m not here to sightsee, but there’s plenty of information at reception, and lots of places are close by. I’d definitely recommend this hotel. Thanks again.

We came back for a second stay, two years after our first visit. Our room was very clean and had a huge bathroom and a balcony. Victoria station is under a 10-minute walk away.

The facilities felt worth the price, and the staff were really kind. I left cash in my room by mistake, but they kept it safe for me. Good hotel and good staff.

The hotel itself is nice and the rooms are very good. I’m still getting used to the location, so can’t say much about that yet. There’s no breakfast, but a nice little cafe is just down the road, along with Indian and sushi places.
