ASTIKON Xenofontos Suites

Eirini was wonderful and helped us with everything. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the service was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. My only suggestion would be to add a shower door. The place is in a central, safe area with lots of cafés and restaurants nearby. Syntagma Square, Monastiraki Square, Ermou shopping street, the Acropolis, Plaka, and other sights are all walkable. I’ll definitely return.

I slept really well for my two nights here. The street was quiet, or maybe the window blocked the sound well. The room was large, cozy, clean, nicely designed, and well maintained. Good location too, not far from the Metro station at Stigma Square.

I stayed from November 11th to 19th and would come back. It was very good value for a nice room, and the location in Syntagma Square made Plaka, Monastiraki, Pysrri, and other tourist areas easy to reach on foot. The rooms were clean, updated, and well equipped, with what looked like recent renovations to the vinyl plank floors, cabinets, furniture, and kitchenware. The mattress was comfortable, the shower pressure was great, and the staff were nice. Thanks to Irini for welcoming us, and to housekeeping as well. There were a couple of quirks. You have to switch on the hot water in the room, then wait about 20 minutes for it to heat. It can run out during a long shower. Mosquitos also got into the room whenever housekeeping opened the screened balcony door, presumably to clean the balcony. Those things didn’t take much away from our stay. The high 4.7 rating is deserved.

Eirini, the manager, was kind, attentive, and helpful with our hotel needs and city recommendations, including places to eat and booking fairy tickets. The location is ideal, a short walk from Sintagmatos square and the parliament toward Plaka, and close to Athens’ main sights. Our rooms at Astikon Suites were spacious, comfortable, clean, and well maintained, with lovely design, plenty of cupboards and storage, a well equipped kitchen, and a handy workspace. The shower had everything we needed and a strong, enjoyable flow. The building entrance felt a little sinister, but there’s an interesting local Greek restaurant inside, with a very hospitable Café-Bar opposite.
