Athens Center Square Hotel

I couldn’t speak Greek, but the staff spoke impeccable English and were extremely kind, so there were no problems. The rooftop view of the Acropolis was the highlight, and the hotel also made it easy to store our luggage. Breakfast was included, with English and continental choices. Our room was thoroughly clean, including the toilet and shower. My sister and I booked a double room from dec 27th until dec 30th 2025 to celebrate my birthday in Athens. I’m glad I took the recommendation to stay here. The location is incredible, about 25 minutes on foot from the Acropolis, 15 minutes from the ancient agora, and 10 minutes from Plaka district. I’m planning to visit Athens again soon and will definitely book the same place.

For the price, this is good value. It’s a basic three star hotel with an excellent location just off Athenas street, convenient for the main attractions. We never walked more than 30 minutes to get anywhere. The rooftop deck has spectacular Acropolis views, and Elsa hosted evening drinks with a very friendly manner. The rooms are simple, with little storage, just a small hanging closet and a few shelves. The bathroom was tidy, and the shower/bath had plenty of hot water and towels. Breakfast is complimentary, with hot and cold options, and the cappuccino machine is fabulous. The hotel street is also a market/bazaar street, busy with activity during the day but quiet at night. The neighborhood looks scary, with graffiti everywhere, though it’s busy with tourists day and night.

We felt completely at home, thanks to the hardworking, welcoming staff. “Miguel,” our multilingual friend, Andreas, who checked us out on Friday at 11 a.m., and another lovely colleague whose name I didn’t catch were all kind and friendly. Cristina from reservations helped make my friend’s birthday really memorable. The breakfast was fresh, natural, varied, and delicious. There were lots of choices, and the restaurant team kept the tables clean and buffet stocked. The rooms were a good size, clean, comfortable, and nicely lit, with super cozy beds. Athens Center Square Hotel is very well located, and the rooftop has a wonderful view of the Acropolis. It made our time in beautiful Athens even better.

We spent most of our time out exploring while we were in Greece to watch Scotland, so the clean, comfortable room suited us well even if it wasn't five-star accommodation. The hotel's in an unusual part of town, with interesting markets nearby, and little lanes behind it where we found charming restaurants. The rooftop bar opens most evenings, but heading up in the daytime was lovely too for the sun and the view.
