Athens Panorama Project

The view across the city and over the Acropolis is the standout, and the terrace pool and private jacuzzis in some rooms are nice too. The location works well, near a bus stop and with decent connections to the centre, and the staff were polite and helpful. But the room felt cheaply built for what this place charges and its reputation. The kitchen fittings were worn, there was a leak mark on the ceiling, and the cleanliness could have been better. The place may live up to its name, but I think there are better options for a few days in Athens.

I had an easy check-in for an overnight stay during an international layover. The suite was spacious and clean, with good WiFi. It even had a washer in the room, which I’d have used if my stay had been longer.

The place was peaceful at night, which I really liked, and it’s fairly central with restaurants and food nearby. Our room was comfortable and roomy, with a fully equipped kitchenette and even a tiny washing machine. We were exhausted, so I was very grateful they let us check in early.

For our honeymoon we booked a junior suite, but got a room with a broken sink, toilet, and shower. It was at the end of a really smoky hallway, despite this being a smoke-free hotel. When I politely asked the front desk to move us, they rudely refused and didn’t apologize or offer help. They only sent maintenance to try fixing the room while we waited. This felt much more like a roadside motel than a four-star hotel.
