Athens Tower

Our signature room had a fantastic view of the Acropolis, and there was plenty of space. We stayed for three days and found the hotel handy for Monastiraki metro, the square, shops, and places to eat. It was good overall. The room could use a table and two chairs, plus somewhere to hang clothes and towels.

We booked the presidential suite with the Acropolis view, and it was beautiful. The room was clean, the employees very helpful, and the hotel is conveniently close to Monastiraki metro station.

There’s a war here in the UAE, and the airspace was closed for safety. I tried to cancel my reservation a week beforehand, but they kept refusing and said the war wasn’t a special case and they didn’t care. It felt unfair and completely unprofessional to insist on taking the money. If that’s how they handle things over the phone, I can only imagine the service in person. When the airspace opens again, I definitely won’t stay at this hotel. I’d also booked in Milan, and as soon as I asked, they refunded the full amount and sent a short message wishing me and my family safety and saying they hoped to see us another time. That’s the difference between a hotel that cares about its reputation and customers and one that only cares about money.

The huge apartment-style room had a great view of the Acropolis, and the breakfast was very good. Athens Tower is in Monastiraki, where the area has everything you need, but it never sleeps and can be noisy. There’s also a roof garden where the music can sometimes be loud. If a good location and a great view are what you’re after, this place may suit you.
