Ciel Suites Athens

It’s easy to get around Athens from here, with the historical sites, museums, and everyday essentials all within walking distance. The reception was kind, and the place was clean and comfortable. I’d highly recommend staying here for a visit.

The room was on the small side, but it was clean and neat, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are lots of good restaurants nearby, and the location is excellent. I’m planning to return, and I’ve recommended it to my parents for their Athens trip later this year.

The location and cleanliness were great, and the staff were friendly and sincere. But I booked a room, not a chance to make friends, and the basic service I needed was hot water. I checked in at 8 p.m. and found there wasn’t any. I went to reception three or four times; each time they said it would be back in 20 minutes, then eventually told me there’d be none that night and the problem would be fixed the next day. I was leaving the next day, so that did me no good. I’d checked in well after check-in time, and if the system had been checked, this could have been sorted before I arrived. They said it was only happening in my room. In hospitality, when something goes wrong, you should try to make it right for the guest. If they couldn’t fix it, they could at least have offered some kind of apology gesture. That’s something the hotel should be considering, not me.

We used this place as a stopover between island trips and cruises, and the location worked really well. The rooms were modern and clean. The two young women at reception deserve a special mention: they went out of their way to help with all our requests, from arranging transport to suggesting places for dinner. We really appreciated their service and would highly recommend staying here.
