Diros Hotel

On the second day, we asked for the smelly room to be cleaned. The receptionist just smiled and said housekeeping had left and nothing could be done. We asked for fresh sheets and towels, but he said only towels were available. Earlier, even though we'd fully paid through booking, they charged us another 15 euros at check-in. The room was tiny, with separate beds that were uncomfortable and kept moving while we slept. The balcony window was damaged, with loose screws, and seemed like it could fall on us at any moment. When we raised the problem, the receptionist didn't bother checking for another room and only said they were fully booked. Look elsewhere if you want to enjoy your vacation and avoid back pain.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated, but I wouldn't stay here again. I chose this budget hotel for the view, and the pictures made it look great. What I actually saw was nothing like what was advertised. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, and the area felt rough and unsafe, especially at night. I wouldn't recommend going out after dark. I knew it wasn't going to be fancy, but it still fell short.

The location is excellent, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The bed and sheets were decent, and the air conditioning worked, though it took a while to cool the room. The bathroom lets the place down. It's old and cramped, the shower is awkward, and the toilet barely flushes. The towels were decent, though. Overall, it's a good hotel.

The staff were kind, though there wasn’t much they could do about the problems. The neighborhood felt really bad and dangerous, and I wouldn’t go nearby for a drink or food without feeling threatened. The hotel itself is poorly maintained, with rust in the bathroom and only adequate cleanliness. The rooms look similar to the photos, but only the ones at the front have a view. At the back, you face some random old buildings. The balcony is shared with other rooms on the floor, and on the first floor the so-called balcony is really a spot with the AC units, plus a security camera pointing into the rooms. There’s no privacy at all.
