The apartments were clean and well located, close to restaurants, Monastiraki Square, and public transport, with the Acropolis relatively nearby. But after 38 days there, I wouldn't come back. The first-floor rooms were the worst. They had the basic necessities, but the noise was relentless: music from the street and, especially, children drumming deafeningly at all hours. At night, shop billboards across the street lit up the room, and the curtains couldn’t block them out. This might suit someone looking for a good price who enjoys crowds and noise. For me, it was too much.
