The apartment is quite nice and very central, about a 30-minute walk from the Acropolis, with metro lines and nice places to eat nearby. It was clean, had no bad odors and looked just as shown. But the stay was so difficult that I wouldn't recommend the landlady. When I tried to reach her, I got only automated messages, and she seemed interested in collecting payment without doing her part of the contract. Luckily I booked just two nights. I came to relax, not fight over things that should have been provided. Finding the owner took an hour and a half, and I only managed with help from neighbors. It was 41 degrees Celsius and I had two enormous suitcases. She charged extra fees at check-in, I think for cleaning and something else I can't recall. Those charges weren't in the original contract, but I paid because of the heat. Only after taking my details and the extra payment did she send the electronic key information. The Wi-Fi didn't work on either of my two days. I told her and got no response. The air conditioning wasn't on when I arrived, and there was no fresh drinking water, small things I expected when arriving. I asked her to send someone to check, but she said she couldn't because she wasn't in the area. It was all very complicated while traveling and trying to check in.
The apartment itself was new and comfortable, but the service was a disaster. They said they wouldn't give us the key unless we sent €90 for cleaning, €30 a night, and otherwise we'd be left out on the street. After we arrived, the sheets hadn't been changed, there were no towels, and the previous guests' dirty laundry was still there. We called, and a woman came to change the bed but forgot the towels, so she had to return. She left the dirty laundry behind again, and we had to carry it to a room in the stairwell. Over four days, despite paying €90 for cleaning and asking for more, they left us only one set of sheets. The water heater kept tripping and didn't work properly. We had to switch it on repeatedly, and on the first day we had to shower in cold water. If you're there Friday or Saturday, there's an electronic music disco or pub below the apartment, open until 6:30 a.m. We had to buy earplugs to sleep. There's an ironing board, but no hairdryer.
