Facadoro Luxury Apartments

The apartment was reasonably spacious and clean, but we barely slept during our one-night stay. A bar on the corner played extremely loud music until 3 am, and shutting the windows made no difference. We knew earlier reviews mentioned noise, but underestimated it. If you've had a long day of travel or need to sleep, I wouldn't book here.

The apartment is nearly renovated and had everything we needed. The little kitchen was handy for breakfast, and everything worked well. Its location is perfect for seeing the old city. We took the Red line hop-on-hop-off tour, and I'd add the Green line if you've got more time to visit the port and shore. The two-day tickets cover it, and by the shore you can swim and eat freshly cooked fish at one of the many small restaurants with sea views.

Noise was a major problem: there's no soundproofing, the room is right over the bars, and the neighboring accommodations were noisy from 7 in the morning. We couldn't sleep. The room itself was nice, but it smelled bad, maybe from the floor, and the worn curtains wouldn't close all the way, so light came in. One of the worst places to stay.

The place reeked of pee, with stains in the bathroom, hair on the floor, and sheets that hadn't been changed, including pubic hair. We were accused of causing that ourselves as soon as we checked in. They refused to move us, and it took 5-6 hours for anyone to come after we asked for cleaning. When someone did arrive, they had no supplies and said the room was toxic, with ventilation problems and sewage coming into it. They also said they didn't care much about hygiene because it was cheap, though it wasn't. I left because staying there felt like it could send me to the ER. They refused a refund and made up lies to Booking so I wouldn't get one. It felt like the whole place was a scam to take our money and force us out so they could rebook it for the same week. I learned my lesson this week. Stay away, it's the worst possible.
