Hotel Grande Bretagne, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Athens

The food was beautifully presented, with fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors, and everything arrived right on time. We’d booked a business dinner table days ahead and got a brilliant tucked-away corner spot, which made conversation easy against a magical backdrop. Our waiter was polite, knew the menu well, and suggested a superb wine that went perfectly with the seafood. We’ll be back.

From the moment we arrived, it felt luxurious. Helen at the front desk was so nice and helped us sort out our complicated Amex reservations. We got upgraded to a room with a balcony view, which was amazing. The hotel is right by Syntagma Square and the metro, so getting to and from the airport is really convenient. It’s also right in central Athens, with places to go just steps away. If you can afford it, definitely stay here!

The conference services were great, and the restaurant service was impeccable. The view was spectacular, the food terrific, and there were good options. I also loved the turn-down service. The hotel itself is beautiful; check-in was easy, and the staff were helpful and accommodating. My room was fantastic, though the broken tub drain cap made draining the bath difficult. Security was high during the first half of my recent conference stay because a political figure was on the property, but it wasn’t a major issue. I highly recommend it as a luxury option.

Vassilios made our stay feel personal, not transactional. He was attentive, thoughtful, professional, and quick to answer questions or help with requests. He arranged a beautiful room with an incredible view, and from the moment we arrived he made sure my wife and me felt welcomed and cared for. We’re deeply grateful for his kindness and genuine effort to make the visit memorable. It was a comfortable and exceptional stay that we’ll always remember.
