There are lots of lovely restaurants nearby, and our room was very clean. The location was excellent, too. But noise from rooms on our floor and above woke us at 11:30 at night and again at 6:30 in the morning. The double glazing didn't keep out noisy neighbors. Everything was handled by message, so this won't suit you if you want personal interaction.

The bathroom has mold in its corners, and the pipes make a very loud noise whenever the room next door uses water. Showering during busy water-use times was also unpleasant: the temperature swung from extremely cold to hot enough to risk scalding. Sleep was difficult for other reasons too. The doors along the narrow hallway shared by my room and three others barely block sound, so I could hear everything from the hall. Other guests' doors woke me around 7 or 8 a.m., and by about 10 the cleaning staff were making enough noise in nearby rooms that I couldn't keep sleeping. I'm here for three days. When I contacted staff, they wouldn't refund the remaining two nights or move me to a quieter room.

The room was super clean and well appointed, with coffee pods, bottled water, a welcome bottle of wine, and free laundry included in our stay. The Acropolis is a short walk away, and there are plenty of food, market, cafe, and bar options nearby. For better choices, skip Plaka and the tourist trash cafes and head away from the Acropolis in the other direction. I'd highly recommend this very functional hotel for a tourist's stay in Athens.

The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and very clean, and the location was great. A street full of restaurants, good for morning coffee or dinner overlooking the Acropolis, is only a 5 to 7 minute walk away. Before our late arrival, we messaged on whats app and got quick replies. Mrs. Cleopatra and Mr. Yannis arranged a taxi that waited at the airport despite our flight being almost an hour late. We reached the apartment at midnight, and Mr. Yannis still called to welcome us and explain everything. My husband and I have nothing but praise for the apartment and its owner. If we come back to Athens, we'll stay at the Great Living Apartments again.

They let us leave our bags after checkout, which was helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we were just a short distance from the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum, and places to eat and drink. We stayed one night while in Athens.
