Ivis 4 Boutique Hotel

We had a lovely stay at Ivis4. It's a clean, modern hotel with spacious rooms and balconies, right in the lively Psiri neighborhood. The Ancient Agora and Acropolis are about a 15-minute walk away. Breakfast is made to order and was excellent.

I spent ten really good nights here in February 2026. Ivis 4 is a new, modern, clean inn run by a young Greek and English-speaking team. It's a small, family-run place in a more off-beat neighborhood, with pubs and restaurants used by locals and tourists. If you're after the big “Intercontinental Hotel” luxury experience, this may not be for you. My third-floor suite had two rooms, essentially two standard rooms joined together, and a huge terrace. I had booked it for the extra space and privacy while traveling with a friend, but they had to cancel because of illness, so I stayed there alone. The neighborhood internet worked fine for the first seven days, then went down for a few hours on day eight. It came back, failed again, and I couldn't connect for the next two days. It seemed to be an outside network problem beyond the hotel's control. I managed to use my phone hotspot instead.

We loved staying in Psirri, with lots of fun, stylish restaurants just around the corner, about a three-minute walk away, and an eclectic flea market along the street on Sundays. The hotel itself is sleek, modern, and new, with only 14 rooms across five floors, so it feels properly boutique. Our four-night stay was in room 401, which had a spacious room, sitting area, large patio, and a modern bathroom with a great rain shower. Breakfast came with the room and you could order whatever you wanted from the ground-floor restaurant menu. Laundry was another nice perk, 8€ per bag, rather than per item as is common around Europe, with a 24-hour turnaround. The English-speaking staff were friendly and cheerful, especially Helen at the front desk, who helped with transport and advice. One small drawback: the front desk controls the AC temperature, so you can't set it below 23 C yourself. It's away from the tacky Plaka neighborhood, but the Acropolis and other highlights are still only a 20-minute walk. I'd stay here again without hesitation.

Stefania made each morning feel special with her big, warm smile. The breakfast was excellent and fresh, and she was wonderful about making sure everything was there and everyone felt comfortable and happy. Thank you!
