We had a great time at Colour Suites and would happily return. It’s central for the sights, about a 15-minute walk from the center of Plaka. The directions we found useful were to turn left at Hotel Melia onto 281S OKTOVRIOU and keep going until Plaka. You could also ask a taxi to take you to Hotel Melia on Chalkokondyli, since our driver at least didn’t know K23. From the hotel entrance, turn right, then left at Kaningos. The host’s entrance is about halfway down that block on the left.

The rooms turned out to be clean, stylish and like new, so we enjoyed our stay despite the building’s exterior and the surrounding Omonia area looking dirty, rough and run-down. It may not be the prettiest part of Athens, but the apartment is only minutes from the metro, which makes it really convenient. Excellent value and a superb find. I’d recommend it if you’re happy to stay in Omonia.

I stayed in the B&W room at K23 Color Suites. The area can feel a little intimidating at first, but after some time there I realized it was actually quite safe. My sixth-floor room had a lovely balcony and was tastefully decorated. Everything was very clean and neatly arranged, with body and face towels, a bath mat, toilet paper, and a small care and makeup remover kit. The internet was excellent, so I could attend online meetings without any trouble. The staff member was kind and attentive too. She was happy to let me check out an hour late. I’d definitely like to stay again on my next Athens trip.
