Live in Athens, Psyrri Central Apartments

We had enough space for two, and the place was clean and pleasant, though a little noisy in the evening as you’d expect in that area. Then I woke up to a bloodstain beside my head and fecal spots on the pillow. A quick look around turned up a medium sized bed bug. We were meant to stay two nights at the end of our trip, but bedbugs are an immediate one star for me. The staff responded quickly and were genuinely considerate and helpful. They refunded one night, moved us to a nicer, larger place at no cost for the second night, and paid for a cab to carry our things there. Live in Athens earned another star for handling it so professionally.

The staff were helpful, polite, and kind, and the room and bathroom were clean and had everything we needed. The location was a real plus, close to Athens' historic sights, restaurants, and other lovely places around the city. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Rafaela at reception made the stay for us. She was so sweet and patient, and happily answered all our questions. The room itself was simple but nice, the air conditioning worked great, and you’re right in the middle of everything. It can get noisy overnight, though. They leave earplugs, which was a thoughtful touch.

We had a great time and would love to come back. The apartment had everything we needed, and the terrace was a lovely place to watch people and listen to the lively music from the tavern downstairs. The team were so welcoming and friendly. Bars, restaurants, dance clubs, Monastiraki station, and sightseeing spots are all nearby. Bring earplugs for the noise and you should sleep just fine.
