Strefi Hill Suites

The flat was enough space for our family with two children, though the photos made it look bigger. The area was pleasant, with supermarkets, restaurants and bars nearby, and Monastiraki and Ermo Street were about a 20-minute walk away. Street parking may be difficult if you have a car. There were several maintenance problems: no hot water on our first night, a clogged sink that backed up, and a drain that leaked onto the floor. The owner had the hot water fixed by the following evening, and the sink was eventually cleared. We also found the balcony was shared with the next apartment. When we asked, the owner said she hadn't known and would check with the building, which struck us as odd. The bedroom wasn't very clean, and the bed was the least comfortable I've ever slept in. Sound carried through the walls, including neighbors and water running during showers. The apartment was on the third floor, and the elevator broke down twice. With kids and a stroller, that was especially hard after long days. The owner promised a discount, but nothing happened despite several messages. She blamed Booking.com, and after we struggled to reach them, they blamed her for not responding. The matter went to a supervisor after several days, and we finally got €10 back for five nights despite all the issues. I can't recommend the apartment or the booking process.

Sofia, who manages the building, was always there to help, even with things beyond the apartment. The flat is about a 15-minute walk from the center, with plenty of good bars and bakeries along the way. It's a great place, and I'll definitely come back. Highly recommended!

The apartment is handy for everyday needs: there's an amazing bakery just across the road on the left corner, a supermarket about two minutes farther along, and a hairdresser, pharmacy and butcher opposite. I only heard it was in a 'bad' area on our last night, but my mum and I walked around without any trouble. We stayed a few days and had a great host and very clean rooms. There's a smart TV you can log into your streaming accounts on, plus a large fridge with an ice maker in the freezer. I love ice, so arriving to find that was brilliant. It should be mentioned in the listing!

We felt comfortable and safe in the flat. It was beautiful, very clean, and had a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine. The hotel is in a lovely neighborhood with lots of bars and restaurants. Thank you!
