Lotus Center Inn

The three small drawbacks didn't spoil our holiday: the rooms are a little noisy, so we sometimes heard a neighbor getting up early and packing, and party music from across the street came through too. There weren't any cupboards for putting away our things either. Still, we had a lovely, pleasant stay. The hotel is very central, about 2-3 minutes from Monastiraki metro, and our room in the building opposite the main one had a direct, beautiful view of the Acropolis. Antigoni welcomed us warmly and showed us to the room. At breakfast, receptionist Iasonas spotted us from a distance, opened the door and called the elevator. Upstairs, Antigoni always greeted us. Breakfast was plentiful and kept getting refilled, with another beautiful Acropolis view. Special thanks again to Antigoni and Iasonas!

Room 401 had a private elevator, and the view from our acropolis was the highlight of the stay. The Lotus Center Hotel gave us a beautifully decorated, spotless room, and the welcome from the staff was warm from the moment we arrived. Check-in went smoothly, though we were our room. The hotel breakfast was excellent and gave us enough energy for a day hiking around beautiful Athens. It exceeded my expectations.

After a long flight, we checked in, and the receptionist handed us a key. It snapped as I was about to unlock the door. My husband told him, and he lost his temper, shouting and scolding us in front of our 3 year old son. It was an accident, and I don't think I'm strong enough to break a key. We later found out it was only a spare key, not the actual one. Maybe it had just worn out, since it was a spare. He called a locksmith and made us pay 80euro, insisting the break was our fault. The room's safety box didn't work either. And because the key we paid for was the only one, we had to leave it at the hotel whenever we went out. If we hadn't been travelling with a child, we definitely wouldn't have slept there. That treatment was unacceptable in hospitality. It's a bad place to stay, and there are lots of nearby hotels where you won't be treated like this.

Day or night, the very large balcony had fantastic views of the Acropolis and Greek Agora.
