Lozenge Hotel

Vasia took such good care of us and made sure everything was amazing. The hotel also helped my friend set up my room for my birthday, which made the stay even more enjoyable. We were there for 5 days and would highly recommend it. Thank you for the 5-star service!

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent, close to everything but not noisy. The hotel itself is very small. We booked a Junior Suite because I’d heard Athens rooms tend to be small, and ours was spacious and pleasant, though decent rather than luxurious. The balcony was very narrow and not really usable, with no seating or view, just the building across the street. The shower was the main problem. The pressure was weak and the water never got warm enough. We raised it with staff several times; they said they’d checked the system and everything was fine, but as far as I know they never actually checked our room. It’s a nice hotel, but I’d rate it 7/0 and probably wouldn’t return.

The room was clean and comfortable, though its amenities could use an update to fit the hotel’s stylish look. Breakfast was decent, enough to get the day started, but could offer more variety and freshness. The friendly, welcoming staff were always ready to help, and the Athens location was very convenient. It’s a solid place to stay, with a few small upgrades that could make it perfect.

The location couldn’t be better for shopping. You’re in Kolonaki, with Louis, Hermes, Prada, Dior, Gucci and Chanel all a minute’s walk away. That suited me perfectly. The front desk staff were amazing and tried their best, so please don’t blame them for the building’s problems. The hotel opened in 2017, though the service-style elevator made me wonder if it used to be an old store or something. Our room was very clean, and housekeeping was the best. We had a balcony, but sometimes heard running water and eventually found water leaking from upstairs. Water also came through the plaster thing on the shower floor. With leaks left unfixed, I assume mold will start growing soon. They make enough money to fix this and the stained furniture. There’s plenty about the building that could be better. I didn’t have a bad time, and for a short stay I do recommend it, but the issues could be fixed and bring the place to 5 stars. The breakfast spread looked lovely and the food was fresh, but it was always cold. They don’t have a microwave. After trying breakfast a second day, we decided we couldn’t eat cold food. I was disappointed because, for what we paid, we wanted to use the breakfast. Cold eggs, ham, and the other items were gross. They have an oven and will heat food if you ask, but it must be a toaster oven because the food was still cold. I had a few pastries and tea from my room instead. Dinner from the kitchen was tasty, and the woman who brought it up was nice. I’d give the place 3 stars, but the great front desk staff brought it up to four.
