The breakfast was fine, though a bit more variety would have been welcome, and the shower was large. The suite had plenty of room for two and extra storage, with a very comfortable bed. Closed windows blocked the city noise completely, but even with them open, sleeping was fine. I’m not keen on the open bathroom setup. Couples still need a little privacy.

I’ve tried plenty of places in Athens, and this is the best boutique hotel I’ve stayed at. The location is right in the heart of the city, and the rooms and suites are lovely, especially the ones with a jacuzzi on the balcony. If you’re visiting Athens, it’s definitely worth considering.

The stay was pleasant, and I’d come back to this small hotel. It’s in a great spot near the tourist sights and transport links, on a pedestrian side street. My room was small but comfortable, with a coffee machine and kettle. There wasn’t really a selection of drinks, though, unless you asked for them. It’s definitely not quiet. Nearby bars and restaurants make plenty of noise, and sounds carry inside. Noise from other guests travels too, probably because the hotel is small. City center noise didn’t bother me, but I’ve seen reviews calling it quiet, which wasn’t my experience. The breakfast buffet was filling enough and tasty, but the room was tiny and uncomfortable. If you actually like coffee, I wouldn’t drink theirs. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel also wasn’t as described on the booking site I used.

They kept my money despite a booking problem that I explained by email, and refused to refund it. The person handling reservations answered very cynically, saying it was my problem because I booked through Booking rather than directly with them. Yet a receptionist admitted that they do have problems with Booking reservations and had received many customer complaints. Even with that information, the hotel is still holding on to my money in what feels like a predatory way.
