Nikis 20 Suites

We spent five nights here and had a nice stay overall. The room was spacious and clean when we arrived, and the kitchen had basic utensils for cooking or eating, though there was no toaster. There was an electric iron. You can't put tissue paper in the toilet bowl. The cleaner picked up the trash each day but didn't clean the room. One day nobody came, so we took the trash out ourselves. We also swept and mopped once because the room got dusty with us going in and out several times a day. During a local power outage that lasted over an hour, we had to stay outside because there was no key or spare key to get back into our room. Entry to both the building and room was by code only. Greece is always a lively place to visit, with interesting history and culture.

Only passable for a night, or really just a few hours. It's in the city center and within walking distance of the Airport Express Bus stop, which is a big plus. It can be a bit hard to find on GMap, but that's okay. Keep this as your last option.

BED BUGS, a noisy street, and still no refund. Stay away from NIKIS 20 SUITS. There was nothing positive about our stay. The street was loud and the windows didn't seal well. We found bed bugs and were bitten, and there was some unidentified white powder all around the bed frame. Disgusting. After my partner posted an objective Google review about the bugs, we had repeated problems with the host. We tried contacting the host several times and filed an official complaint through Booking.com, but still haven't received a refund. I was told the unidentified powder wasn't poisonous insect repellent and was supposedly safe. I'm pregnant, so for my unborn child's sake and my own sanity, I have to accept that claim, though I still question how honest the host is. The renter is holding our refund over the Google review, saying it gives an unfair impression and harms the business because the room was professionally cleaned. We only get the refund if we remove the review. That's customer manipulation. Honest reviews help future guests make informed decisions, and I don't see the point if a guest can only write glowing things to get a refund after being wronged. This isn't the first report this summer or fall. Booking.com reviews describe at least four independent bed bug cases at Nikis 20 Suites in recent weeks. According to those reviews, three of the four victims, including us, were ignored by the host and didn't get their money back. This is a scam. I believe the host when they say the room was cleaned, but I have to wonder how thorough that cleaning was. There were four bed bug victims one after another, yet the host kept renting the room despite knowing the cleaning had failed repeatedly. The host also tried to tell me they hadn't had bugs for a long time. Three weeks without seeing any isn't a long time. I learned from a few minutes of googling that bed bugs can survive six months without food, and I know how costly and difficult they are to get rid of. Just because the cleaning lady didn't see any for a few weeks doesn't mean they're all gone. They hide in places like under the bed, electrical outlets, and behind pictures, then come out at night when someone's sleeping there. Only now, after the fourth case, has the host said they'll replace the bed frame and mattress. Experts say that should have been the first step. I guess we were another trial to see if the insects were really gone. Vacant rooms cost money, after all.

The entrance felt very secure, and the place was comfortable. The location is fabulous.
