The rooftop is incredible. I was there out of season, so the pool wasn’t open, which was a shame. There’s a busy, lively feel to the place, partly because it’s a popular co-working space, and the internet is fantastic, which matters a lot when you’re travelling. In the evening, the restaurant and bar are swanky, with DJs playing regularly. I’ve stayed in over 50 hostels, and Okupa is easily the best I’ve been to, one of the best in Europe. The accommodation is great value for the quality. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, bathrooms and showers are very good, and entry and lockers are all electronic. There are plenty of lockers, plus drawers under the beds. Each bed has a curtain, and two pillows and towels are provided, which I’ve never had in a hostel before. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks to everyone involved!

We felt at home whether we were having a drink in the lounge or coming back late after exploring Athens. The staff had good suggestions for restaurants and nightlife, and every one we tried worked out well. From the start, the team was warm and professional, and we could relax knowing this was an LGBTQ-friendly space. The hotel’s design is stylish and carefully put together without feeling pretentious. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet for such a central location. We woke up to views of Athens and could be out in the city within minutes, which made our long weekend easy. It’s rare to find this mix of style, comfort, and inclusivity. We were already talking about coming back. A lovely base for a couple looking for somewhere chic and welcoming in Athens.

The area around Omonia can feel a little sketchy at night, but I personally felt safe the whole time and had no issues. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it for the clean, comfortable rooms and great common areas. For a hostel, the comfort and design went beyond what I expected. The bed was extremely comfortable, with two good pillows and a well-sized comforter. Everything looked sleek and modern, and the overall feel was cosy and relaxing. The shared facilities were excellent. The rooftop was perfect for sunset views, and the library, lounge, and kitchen were all well maintained and practical.

The atmosphere and concept are great, and the bar and facilities are beautiful. I had a great stay in the 4 bed dorm, with really comfy beds and such a clean room thanks to Gallina and the housekeeping team. Katerina at reception and the rest of the team were always helpful too. Excellent! Keep up the good work. I’ll be back for sure! 🌟😁

Highly recommend this hostel. It has everything you need for a great stay. Some people say the neighborhood is a bit outside the city center, but it’s still easy to get around and close to livelier, more popular areas. If you’re a digital nomad, there’s also a whole community working from the hostel.
